Overall, the area became less industrial, more residential and more agricultural, with more leisure facilities. There were noticeable changes in the north of the town. Firstly, the lake was partly drained, creating space for a new tennis court, and two shops were demolished and replaced by a shopping mall. Additionally, crops were planted to the south of the lake. Further changes happened in the South. The factories, which were located in the south east, were torn down and apartments were built in their place. A new road, running east, was built to the south of the apartments,. To the North of the apartments, additional farm land was created and to the south, a swimming pool was built. The farm land in the south west was slightly reduced and the road to its east was moved to the west. While there were numerous developments, some things remained unchanged.
